Feeling Hot? Cool off with a Ceiling Fan

As summer temperatures escalate, use a ceiling fan to cool down.  Ceiling fans propel air circulation throughout the room, making our body heat and skin feel cooler.  Depending on room type and size, lighting needs, décor choices and budget parameters, you can choose from a variety of ceiling fans.  With style and comfort in mind, ceiling fans create a comfortable living space for any room.

Ceiling fans feature lights or no lights and are manufactured in modern and traditional styles.  For added convenience, remote controls can operate the ceiling fan, making it a one touch button function.  Indoor or outdoor, ceiling fans provide novel styles, finishes and are the perfect functional complement to a room’s style.

Locate breakers faster and more efficiently with no accidental shutoffs.

Make sure to read all safety electrical tips prior to ceiling fan installation and turn off the power to the light’s circuit breaker or fuse.  Remove the existing light fixture only after this step.  Good news… there’s no need to turn off the power to the entire house when looking for the circuit breaker for the ceiling fan. To make sure you understand which circuit breaker is identified, use a circuit breaker finder that allows you to quickly identify circuit breakers, even when working alone.  The Zircon Breaker ID Circuit Finder takes the mystery out of your breaker box.  With the simple flip of a single switch, the Breaker ID Circuit Finder quickly finds the circuits.

Another important safety step in the installation is to ensure that the ceiling fan is installed into the ceiling joist which supports the ceiling of the room.  To find the ceiling joist, use a stud finder.  Zircon’s MultiScanner® i520 OneStep® quickly and easily locates the edges and center of wood and metal joists and studs behind ceilings, floors and walls. It also locates metal as well as live AC electrical wiring.  A 4-mode switch makes it easy to change functions, while the ultra-bright display screen, SpotLite® Pointing System, a.nd audio tone all indicate the location of the target.
